Insecticides, Weed killers and Sacred Water

17 MArch 2004 - Assume you are thirsty. You have two bottles of Insecticides and Weed killers. What would you select? Insecticides or weed killers? What ever you select and if you drink you will die because both are poison. May be the time taken for you to die might vary depending on the degree of poison each contains. However, there can never be a big difference between the degrees of poison each bottles contain.

During the 56 years of history people in Sri Lanka have been selecting different brands of poison with different labels and colors. Finally the seller earns and the promises people got from the seller dies.

For the first time in Sri Lankan history a bottle of sacred water is available apart from those poison bottles. Producers of those poisons have been shocked with the presence of this sacred water. The sellers and the advertisers of poison whom are hired and non-hired by the producers or who thinks that their blood is colored in red, green, or blue (but they call them selves that they are the people whom are talking for the sake of the country) have been presenting all sort of complex and simple mathematical calculations and predicting the destruction done by drinking sacred water.

A person who is reading the Manifesto of Bhikkus, without a pre-conclusive mind, and with an intention of understanding, can clearly observe that this is the only path to protect country, race and the religion. It is the path for the unity among all the races, communities and religions in the country.

Dear poison sellers and advertisers,

Please do not collect sins by telling the path of Lord Buddha is the path of destruction. You are betraying your religious leader, if you are Buddhists.

People of this country have been kind enough to believe all the Manifestos given by all the parties through out a period of 56 years. The destruction of this country is if people not believing the most aristocratic Manifesto ever in the Sri Lankan recent history. If someone is to say that Bhikkus have knowingly and willingly entered to the political contest, knowing very well that this will result in community being fragmented and separated into political groups, parties and affiliations causing disharmony among members, then that person has not been intelligent enough to understand the simple Sinhala in the Manifesto of Bhikkus and the intention of them, which they have been telling all the time. The truth is Bhikkus have knowingly and willingly entered to the political contest, knowing very well that it is the only way to make community united which is now being fragmented and separated into political groups, parties and affiliations causing disharmony among members.

Only thing can be done for the sake of those criticizers is sympathizing. Just sympathizing. If a day comes which they will be able to remove their colorful spectacles, then they will see the truth. The one and only truth. Till then may Triple Gems bless them.
